Calling all Cover Supervisors, aspiring teachers, graduates, and experienced youth workers 👋

We’re working with an outstanding secondary school in Bradford that’s looking for a permanent Cover Supervisor to join their team. This is the kind of school people stay in — supportive leadership, brilliant behaviour, and students who actually want to learn. Yes, really.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and play a vital role in ensuring learning continues smoothly when teachers are absent. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor or looking to take your first step into education, the school is keen to meet enthusiastic individuals who can make a real difference.

What makes this school stand out?

✅ Outstanding leadership and a genuinely supportive SLT
✅ A welcoming and collaborative staff team
✅ Strong behaviour systems, allowing you to focus on supporting learning
✅ Excellent CPD and progression opportunities
✅ Ideal experience for aspiring teachers and graduates
✅ A school community that values both staff and students

The role:

You’ll be:
• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set lesson materials provided by teaching staff
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged in learning
• Supporting students to complete tasks and achieve their full potential
• Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Becoming part of a school community that values both staff and students

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with young people in education, coaching, youth work, care, or similar settings
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence leading a classroom and maintaining a positive learning environment
• A calm, proactive, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are warmly encouraged to apply

And if you’re Thrive trained, even better. If not, no worries, we can help with that too. Protocol Education offers free Thrive training to help you build even more confidence supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing in the classroom 💙

Whether you're looking to gain experience before teacher training or establish yourself within education, this could be the perfect opportunity to take the next step in your career.
