The Role as a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Support the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years.
- Deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress and achievements.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Support children's personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards at all times.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
- Essential Qualifications
To be considered for ratio-compliant positions, applicants must hold one of the following full and relevant Early Years qualifications recognised by the Department for Education (DfE):
Level 2 Qualifications:
- NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education
- Level 2 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Level 3 Qualifications:
- NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
- CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
- Level 3 Diploma for Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
- NVQ Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development
- BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
- Level 3 Children's Play, Learning and Development
- Higher-Level Qualifications
- Foundation Degree in Early Years
- BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies
- BA (Hons) Early Years Education
- Early Childhood Education Degree
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
Applicants holding overseas qualifications may also be considered where their qualification is recognised by the DfE as full and relevant.
Desirable Requirements:
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Training
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
