We are seeking caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of school settings, supporting children with diverse learning needs. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about supporting children with SEND, helping them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalised learning programs.

  • Use creative, hands-on approaches to engage and motivate learners.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).

  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.

  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEND (experience in primary or secondary settings preferred).

  • A patient, compassionate approach with a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and colleagues.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are a plus.
