Protocol Education are looking for a Psychology Graduate to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant within a Gateshead school.

You'll work closely with an individual pupil, developing your understanding of their needs and helping them access education with greater confidence and independence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support
  • Build a strong professional relationship with the pupil
  • Help the pupil access lessons
  • Adapt support to their individual needs
  • Encourage communication and interaction
  • Support emotional regulation
  • Promote independence
  • Encourage positive behaviour
  • Record and communicate relevant observations
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team
