Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £13.67 - £15 per hour

Job Duties:

Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting

Assist teachers: Implement individual education plans tailored to student's needs

Use effective approaches: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, helping them understand instructions and tasks

Manage behaviour: De-escalate challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques

Nurture positive relationships: Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the student’s education, while maintaining detailed records of the child’s progress

Contribute: Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the child’s integration into school life

Requirements:

Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one

Prior experience working with students with special educational needs

Understanding of different learning styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods where needed
