Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEND provision in Newcastle upon Tyne seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and communication difficulties.

Pay: Competitive Daily Rate (Dependent on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
About the Role
As a SEND Teacher, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs. You'll work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals and families to ensure pupils receive the support they need to reach their full potential.
This role would suit an experienced SEND Teacher, a Primary Teacher looking to move into specialist education, or a Secondary Teacher passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
- Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching accordingly
- Working towards EHCP targets and individual learning outcomes
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Promoting confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
We're looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A passion for inclusive education
- Strong classroom management skills
- A nurturing and adaptable teaching style
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to motivate and inspire pupils with varying needs
