Behaviour & Wellbeing Intervention Assistant – South Shields

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting targeted interventions in a therapeutic, nurture-focused environment. The provision works with young people who benefit from structure, empathy and low-stimulus support.
Daily duties:
• Delivering small interventions around resilience, emotional literacy and confidence
• Supporting pupils during lessons with regulation and engagement
• Helping pupils manage challenging moments using calm, safe strategies
• Building trusted relationships with pupils who may have experienced significant disruption
What helps you succeed here:
• Trauma-informed practice or experience with SEMH
• Strong boundaries delivered with kindness
• A reflective, patient approach and the ability to reset after tricky moments
