1:1 Support Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 to £110 per day (depending on experience)

We're looking for a caring and committed 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to work closely with a pupil who needs a little extra encouragement, consistency and understanding throughout their school day.

If you have at least two years' experience working in education and enjoy building positive relationships that help children grow in confidence, we'd love to hear from you.

Your role

Every day will be different, but you'll be there to help one child feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

You'll be:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
  • Helping your pupil access learning in the classroom.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
  • Adapting activities and providing reassurance when needed.
  • Celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small.

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of two years' experience working within an educational setting.
  • Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis or working with pupils who require additional support.
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to adapt to each child's individual needs.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
