Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of additional needs.

Role Overview:

  • Supporting students with a variety of SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

  • Assisting with personalised learning plans, both 1:1 and in small groups.

  • Helping to create a positive and structured learning environment.

  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists and SENCOs to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school, care or community settings).

  • Be patient, empathetic and able to adapt to different learning styles.

  • Communicate effectively with both pupils and staff.

  • Be reliable, consistent and confident in supporting behaviour and engagement.
