We’re looking for a patient and understanding Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with SEMH in a specialist setting. You’ll play a key part in creating a structured, predictable environment where pupils feel safe, emotionally supported, and able to engage in their learning.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Using positive strategies to support behavioural needs and specific SEMH needs
- Helping with routines, transitions, and sensory needs
- Using clear communication and visual strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
What we’re looking for
- Experience with SEMH, mental health, youth work or SEND, or a real passion to build it
- A calm, consistent approach, even on the trickier days
- Someone who notices the small wins and celebrates them
- Someone with a true passion in supporting behaviour and mental health in young people to help them overcome barriers and succeed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
