Engagement Coach – Luton (Part-Time)

Are you passionate about supporting young people who are struggling to engage in education? Do you have the skills to build trust, manage behaviour positively, and help pupils get back on track?

We are seeking a committed Engagement Coach to deliver a 12-week Restorative Re-Engagement Programme at our Luton site, supporting secondary-aged pupils to improve behaviour, rebuild confidence, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education.

About the Role

Based in Luton, you will work with small cohorts of up to 6 pupils who may be at risk of permanent exclusion, experiencing repeated suspensions, or disengaged from learning.

You will deliver structured support through mentoring, restorative practice, and practical, engaging learning activities.

This is a part-time role (5 hours per day), working either:

  • 9:30am – 2:00pm, or
  • 10:30am – 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver restorative behaviour interventions in a small group setting
  • Support pupils to re-engage with education and improve attendance
  • Develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Facilitate vocational and practical learning opportunities
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support reintegration into mainstream school settings
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs
  • Background in youth work, mentoring, education, or alternative provision
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent way
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach

Why Join Us in Luton?

  • Be part of a proven programme with over 10 years of impact
  • Work in a supportive, small-group environment
  • Make a meaningful difference to young people at risk of exclusion
  • Ongoing rolling cohorts providing consistent engagement opportunities

If you’re ready to help young people in Luton reset, re-engage, and succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
