We’re looking for a SEND Support Assistant to join a Primary School in the centre of Newcastle full time, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning, build confidence, and feel genuinely understood in the classroom.
You’ll be working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication differences.

- Helping children access learning in a way that works for them
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and resources
- Using de-escalation techniques when needed, always with a calm, reassuring approach

- An experienced SEND Teaching Assistant ready for a new setting
- Someone who has worked in care, youth work, or support roles and is looking to move into education
- Confident, calm, and naturally patient when things don’t go to plan
