PA to Head Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly organised PA to the Head Teacher to join a secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and professional individual to provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Head Teacher, playing a key role in the smooth and effective running of the school.
The Role
As PA to the Head Teacher, you will act as a key point of contact for the Head Teacher and provide comprehensive administrative support. You will need to be highly organised, discreet and able to manage a busy workload while handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive PA and administrative support to the Head Teacher
- Managing diaries, meetings and appointments
- Coordinating meetings and preparing agendas, papers and minutes
- Acting as a key point of contact for staff, parents, governors and external stakeholders
- Drafting correspondence, reports and other professional documentation
- Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Supporting the Head Teacher with school communications and key administrative processes
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are met
- Assisting with the organisation of school events and meetings
- Working collaboratively with the wider senior leadership and administrative teams
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a PA, Executive Assistant or Senior Administrator
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office
- A professional, calm and approachable manner
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A high level of discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Experience working within a school or education setting would be advantageous
