Protocol Education are looking for an energetic PE & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support young people in a specialist South Shields setting.
This would suit someone who can use their sporting background to engage pupils who may struggle with behaviour, confidence or engagement in education.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Assisting with PE and physical activity
- Working 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting classroom learning
- Using sport to build positive relationships
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Supporting emotional regulation
- Mentoring pupils
- Encouraging teamwork and communication
- Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
Who We're Looking For
You could be an experienced TA, sports coach, PE graduate, youth worker or someone with a strong sporting background.

Driving & DBS
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is also advantageous for an immediate start. Candidates without one will need to be able to apply for a new Enhanced DBS ASAP.
