We’ve got a lovely early years setting in Gateshead looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs. The team here are genuinely supportive, the kind who check in, help out, and celebrate the small wins together.
This is a hands-on role where your care, patience, and experience will make a real difference from day one.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with complex needs

Using play-based learning to engage and support development

Helping with personal care and daily routines

Supporting sensory activities and structured learning

Encouraging communication and social interaction

Working closely with teachers and SEND staff

Creating a safe, calm, and nurturing space
