Engagement Coach – Buntingford, Hertfordshire

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and caring Engagement Coach to support small groups of children with additional needs at a setting in Buntingford, Hertfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and wants to make a genuine difference to their engagement, confidence and development.

The Role

As an Engagement Coach, you will work closely with small groups of children, providing tailored support and helping them engage positively with activities and learning.

You will:

• Support small groups of children with additional needs
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Encourage engagement, confidence and independence
• Support children's social, emotional and communication development
• Deliver and support fun, engaging activities
• Adapt your approach to suit individual children's needs
• Help create a calm, safe and inclusive environment
• Work closely with staff to provide consistent support

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient and empathetic
• Enthusiastic about working with children
• Calm and confident when managing different needs and behaviours
• Creative and able to find ways to engage children
• Reliable and committed
• A strong communicator and team player

Experience working with SEND, education, childcare, youth work or vulnerable children would be advantageous, but we are also interested in candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude.
