KS1 Teaching Assistants – Southwark 🌟
Small learners, big personalities — sound like your kind of class?
If you know how to turn counting to 20 into an adventure, soothe wobbly mornings, or make storytime the highlight of the day — we think you'll fit right in.
What’s the role?
We’re working with brilliant primary schools across Southwark who are on the lookout for nurturing, energetic, and patient KS1 Teaching Assistants to support their youngest learners. You’ll be right there in the classroom, helping children find their confidence and curiosity — and maybe tie a few shoelaces along the way!
Your days will include:
-
Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
-
Helping to deliver creative, engaging lessons
-
Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day routines
-
Encouraging social skills, independence, and a love of learning
-
Celebrating the little wins (because they matter most!)
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or EYFS/KS1 setting
-
A warm, calm approach and endless patience
-
A team player who’s always ready to jump in and help
-
Extra brownie points if you’ve got a TA qualification or relevant childcare training
Important to know:
This role requires an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service. Don’t have one yet? No problem — we’ll walk you through the process.
Why work with Protocol Education?
We take the stress out of job searching and replace it with real support, flexible opportunities, and a team that’s got your back from day one.
You bring the care, we’ll bring the connections.
