We’re working with a friendly, community-led primary school set in beautiful surroundings, where relationships matter and every child is truly known.
This is a part-time SEND Teaching Assistant role, perfect if you’re looking to build experience, balance other commitments, or step into a school that genuinely values the support staff who keep everything running smoothly.
The role at a glance
You’ll be supporting two pupils across KS1:
- Morning (4 hours) – working 1:1 with a child in Reception
- Afternoon (2 hours) – supporting a child in Year 2
It’s a varied role where no two sessions feel the same, but the impact you’ll have is huge.
What you’ll be doing
This is all about connection, encouragement, and helping children feel confident in their learning.
You’ll:
- Support pupils both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help children feel safe and understood
- Encourage inclusion and positive interactions with peers
- Adapt activities alongside the teacher to suit individual learning needs
- Use praise and encouragement to boost confidence and independence
- Support social development, both in class and during less structured times
- Share regular feedback with the class teacher and SEND lead
- Follow safeguarding and school policies to keep every child safe

- Children are supported to grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally too
- Staff work closely together and genuinely support one another
You’ll feel part of the team from day one.
What we’re looking for

- A calm, patient, and positive approach
- Someone who builds relationships easily and communicates well
- A team player who’s happy to learn and get involved

One day a week. A big impact.
