Science Teacher – Permanent

📍 Leeds
💷 M1 to UPS3
🕒 Full-time, Permanent
📅 Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right person)

Calling all Science teachers, from fresh-faced ECTs to seasoned equation experts 👋

We’re working with an outstanding secondary school in Leeds that’s looking for a permanent Science Teacher to join their team. This is the kind of school people stay in, supportive leadership, brilliant behaviour, and students who actually want to learn.

You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 if that’s your thing. Whether you’re just starting out in your teaching career or you’ve got years of experience under your belt, the school is keen to meet passionate educators who can bring Science to life in the classroom.

What makes this school stand out?

✅ Outstanding leadership and a genuinely supportive SLT
✅ A well-resourced Science department with a collaborative team culture
✅ Strong behaviour systems, so you can focus on teaching, not firefighting
✅ Excellent CPD and progression opportunities
✅ ECT-friendly with mentoring and structured support from day one
✅ Opportunities to teach A-Level Science for the right candidate

The role:

You’ll be:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that build confidence and curiosity
  • Supporting students to achieve their full potential
  • Becoming part of a school community that values both staff and students

What we’re looking for:

  • UK QTS or currently completing your teacher training
  • A genuine love for Science and helping young people succeed
  • Strong classroom presence and positive relationship-building skills
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply

And if you’re Thrive trained, even better. If not, no worries, we can help with that too. Protocol Education offers free Thrive training to help you build even more confidence supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing in the classroom 💙
