Protocol Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary, secondary and specialist settings in Weston-super-Mare.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.

  • Assist teachers with classroom learning and activities.

  • Support literacy, numeracy and curriculum-based tasks.

  • Support pupils with SEN/SEND and additional learning needs where required.

  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.

  • Help pupils engage effectively with their learning.

  • Prepare and organise classroom resources.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff.

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' relevant UK experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEN TA or similar.

  • Experience supporting pupils in a school or educational setting.

  • SEN/SEND experience is advantageous.

  • Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support is desirable.

  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Reliable and professional.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable but not essential.
