Job Title: Teaching Assistant (ASC/ADHD)

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
About Us: We are working with an inclusive school located in the Merton area, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all our students. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Job Description: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with autism and physical disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the educational and social development of students.
- Providing one-on-one support to children with special educational needs.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of each student.
- Supporting students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.
- Helping with personal care tasks as needed.
- Utilizing our school's hydropool to support the physical and sensory needs of disabled children.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is essential. This can include personal experience.
- Experience in a school or nursery setting is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Nursery Nurse qualification is also preferred.
Additional Information:
- You will be part of a team supporting reduced classes, with 6-8 children per class.
