An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive and well-resourced setting that places a strong emphasis on early years development and high-quality teaching and learning.
The Role:

Lead a Reception class, delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to meet the needs of all pupils

Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, and numeracy

Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence

Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records in line with school expectations

Work closely with support staff, parents, and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have experience teaching within Early Years or Key Stage 1 (Reception experience is highly desirable)

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework

Be creative, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education

Have excellent communication and classroom management skills

Be committed to maintaining the high standards expected within an Outstanding school
