MFL Teacher (Modern Foreign Languages)

The role

As an MFL Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Modern Foreign Languages across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available for suitable candidates)

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

  • Promote confidence, cultural awareness, and effective communication

  • Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND

  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment

  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively within the Languages department and wider staff team

Languages such as French, Spanish, and German are particularly welcomed.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)

  • Has experience teaching MFL in UK secondary schools

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management

  • Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding

  • Is adaptable, reliable, and professional

  • Is happy to work PAYE, with clear and transparent pay

This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession.
