The role
We are working closely with a well-regarded 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Science Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. This role is suitable for teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, as well as confident general Science teachers.
The Science department is well-resourced, with clear schemes of work and strong technician support. The school has high expectations around behaviour and learning, creating a calm and focused environment for teaching.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on specialism)

Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs

Promote curiosity, enquiry, and scientific thinking

Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and safety

Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team
The ideal candidate

QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science

Confident classroom management and practical lesson delivery

Flexible, professional, and reliable
