The role

We are working closely with a well-regarded 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Science Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. This role is suitable for teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, as well as confident general Science teachers.

The Science department is well-resourced, with clear schemes of work and strong technician support. The school has high expectations around behaviour and learning, creating a calm and focused environment for teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on specialism)

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs

  • Promote curiosity, enquiry, and scientific thinking

  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and safety

  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team

The ideal candidate

  • QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science

  • Confident classroom management and practical lesson delivery

  • Flexible, professional, and reliable

  • Open to day-to-day supply, long-term, or permanent roles
