The role

We are working with a well-established 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Geography Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. This role would suit a passionate geographer who can deliver engaging, relevant lessons and inspire curiosity about the world around us.

The Humanities faculty is collaborative and well supported, with clear schemes of work and a strong emphasis on inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)

  • Deliver engaging lessons covering physical and human geography

  • Differentiate to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic progress

  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department

The ideal candidate

  • QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography

  • Confident classroom management skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and professional approach

  • Open to day-to-day, long-term, or permanent roles
