The role
We are working with a well-established 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. The role is open to specialists in French, Spanish, German, or a combination, with KS5 teaching available depending on experience and specialism.
The MFL department is well supported and values inclusive, engaging language teaching that builds confidence and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

Teach MFL across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available)

Deliver engaging, communicative language lessons

Support pupils of mixed abilities to make progress

Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Work collaboratively with the MFL department and wider staff team
The ideal candidate

QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

Specialism in French, Spanish, German, or similar

Confident classroom management skills

Flexible, professional, and reliable
