We’re working with a specialist SEMH school in Hackney looking for a strong, steady SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a setting where relationships come first, routines matter, and every small win is a big deal.
What your day might look like:

Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Helping students regulate, refocus, and re-engage with learning

Working closely with teachers, mentors, and therapists

Being that consistent, calm presence students can rely on

Celebrating progress that doesn’t always show up on a test paper
What the school is looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour

A calm, patient approach, even on the tricky days

Someone who builds rapport naturally, you’re the kind of person pupils open up to
