We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school this September.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive in the classroom and beyond. Whether your experience comes from education, care, youth work, or another support-based setting, if you've spent at least one year working with individuals with SEND or in a care environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
- Providing one-to-one and small group support throughout the school day
- Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and positive relationships
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support teams
- Creating a calm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working in care, SEND, education, youth work, or a similar support role
- A patient, positive, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a busy school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
