We’re supporting a welcoming mainstream primary school in Redbridge with a dedicated SEND unit, and they’re looking for a warm, patient and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team. You’ll be working with pupils aged 3–11 with mild needs, making a real impact on their day-to-day school experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (academic, social, emotional or behavioural)
- Working closely with teachers and SEND staff to deliver engaging, accessible learning
- Helping children stay focused, confident and happy in class
- Providing 1:1 or small-group support where needed
- Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe and understood
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting children or young people (school, nursery, youth work, SEN, tutoring or care settings)
- A calm, nurturing approach and great communication skills
- Someone reliable, patient and genuinely passionate about helping little learners shine
- The willingness to learn, grow and be an active part of the school community
