Full-Time Science Teacher (QTS)

Inspire curiosity. Spark confidence. Shape bright futures.

If you’re a Science teacher with QTS who loves seeing that lightbulb moment in the lab, this role could be your perfect next step.

We’re working with a warm, forward-thinking independent school that blends high expectations with genuine care. It’s the kind of place where students are encouraged to think big, teachers are trusted to teach well, and everyone belongs.

What makes this school special

You’ll be joining a setting known for:

  • A strong, supportive ethos where kindness, respect and ambition sit at the heart of everything.

  • Modern, well-equipped science labs, ideal for practical, hands-on learning that brings the curriculum to life.

  • Excellent pastoral care, with a culture that prioritises wellbeing for both students and staff.

  • Beautiful green surroundings, creating a calm, spacious environment that feels miles away from the usual school rush.

  • Brilliant staff perks including free on-site parking, term-time lunches at no cost, and access to a gym and wellness facilities.

  • A dynamic extracurricular programme featuring sports, arts, STEM clubs, outdoor learning, and community projects.

  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity, ensuring every student feels seen and supported.

Your role in the team

As their new Science teacher, you’ll:

  • Teach engaging lessons across KS3–KS4, with opportunities for KS5 depending on your experience.

  • Plan sequences of learning that nurture curiosity, deepen understanding, and build confidence.

  • Make practical science a core part of the day through experiments, investigations and real-world application.

  • Use data thoughtfully to track progress and guide students forward.

  • Build strong relationships that help learners feel safe to try, question, and explore.

  • Play an active role in the wider school community including clubs, trips, competitions and enrichment activities.

Who they’re looking for

You’ll be a great fit if you’re someone who:

  • Holds QTS and a degree related to science.

  • Brings energy, enthusiasm and a love of your subject.

  • Enjoys working collaboratively with a tight-knit department.

  • Values a school culture built on kindness, participation and high-quality teaching.

  • Is excited by CPD, coaching and genuine opportunities to develop.

  • Wants to work in a school where teachers feel trusted, supported and part of something bigger.

What you’ll get back

  • A leadership team that listens and invests in its staff.

  • High-quality professional development and progression routes.

  • A generous benefits package, including pension scheme and fee remission opportunities.

  • A workplace where you feel appreciated, not overwhelmed.
