Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants from creative backgrounds such as art, music or acting who are passionate and engaging. Protocol Education currently work with a number of special needs schools within Wandsworth and have roles working with primary, secondary and post 16. The schools we currently work with provide tailored curriculum to students with a variety of special needs that include autism, physical difficulties and learning difficulties. As a teaching assistant you will be working in classes from 6 - 8 students per class and will have the opportunity to utilise your creative skills and apply them in lessons such as art, music, dance & movement. This role is to start after Easter with the expectation to work for the remainder of the academic year and potentially longer.anging
The role:
- Monday to Friday (8:30 - 15:30, but vary from school to school)
- Work one to one with primary,secondary or post 16 students
- Engage students through creative activities such as music, art & movement
- Developing communication and social understanding through creative approaches
- Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
- Working with the teacher to assess pupils’ levels and ability
The candidate:
- Ability to use their creative skills with students to enable their sensory development
- Comfortable working with special needs
- Keen to make a positive difference to students learning and development
- Able to work Monday to Friday
- Enjoys learning new skills and implementing them within an educational setting
