SEN Teaching Assistant – Middlesbrough

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the steady, reliable presence that helps students feel safe and understood. Expect hands-on support with pupils who have:

SEMH needs
-
ADHD
-
Autism
-
Challenging behaviours
-
Barriers to learning that need patience, structure, and a warm approach
No two days look the same in these settings, but one thing is constant, your impact matters.
What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:

Confident and calm when things get busy

Punctual and dependable so students get the consistency they need

Experienced in SEN settings or PRUs
-
Skilled at building trust with pupils who need a little extra guidance and reassurance
-
Ready to support both 1:1 and small group work as needed
Requirements

Experience in SEMH, ASD, ADHD or behaviour support
-
A DBS on the Update Service, or you're happy to apply for one through us

A positive, patient attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting young people
