Job Duties:

• Design and deliver dynamic and engaging English lessons to students
• Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student participation
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum and teaching materials
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, ensuring confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Relevant degree in English or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanour
• Strong classroom management abilities, maintaining a calm and respectful atmosphere

Education:

Degree in English or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching English to students, with a proven track record of success

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of English language and literature, including grammar and syntax
• Ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, using a variety of teaching strategies
• Proficiency in educational technology and resources, providing modern and interactive learning experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education
• Experience working with students with special educational needs, implementing individualised education plans

Working Conditions:

The Experienced English Teacher role is based in the Stockton locality, with full-time hours for a long-term temporary position.
