About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) / SEND Support Worker / Youth Worker to join a specialist SEND provision in Basildon.
The school supports students with a wide range of needs, including:

Autism (ASD)
-
Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)

Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD)
-
Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students progress academically and emotionally

Encouraging confidence, independence, and personal development
-
Using creative and engaging approaches to support individual learning styles
-
Assisting with behaviour management using positive and supportive strategies
-
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student

Previous school experience is preferred but not required — we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in social care, youth work, or those looking to begin a career in education
Role Details:

Full-time, long-term position

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
