Learning Support Assistant (Autism Pathway) – Peterlee

Location: Peterlee
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)

This is a brilliant chance to join a nurturing specialist setting supporting pupils with autism and communication differences. The team is warm, well-structured and looking for an LSA who can bring a mix of kindness, consistency and confidence.

Your day will include:

  • Supporting pupils across KS2–KS4 with communication and sensory needs

  • Helping with emotion regulation and transitions

  • Creating safe, low-demand learning spaces

  • Using visuals and structured tasks

  • Working 1:1 and with small groups depending on need

You’ll be perfect for this role if:

  • You have experience with SEND, ASC or SEMH

  • You’re steady, reliable and great with routines

  • You can adapt quickly when pupils’ needs change

  • You drive and can travel around Peterlee easily
