You do not need prior school experience, teaching qualifications or specialist training. All necessary training is provided free of charge. The ideal candidates are confident, friendly, outgoing, and able to build rapport quickly with young people.
What is the role?
As an Unqualified Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor, you will:
• Supervise secondary school classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students complete set work
• Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment
• Support students to remain engaged and on task
• Follow school behaviour policies and established routines
You are not expected to teach new material. The focus of the role is strong classroom presence, behaviour management and ensuring continuity of learning.
Working pattern
• Flexible working from 2 to 5 days per week
• Opportunities for short-term, long-term and full-time placements
• Immediate start dates available, including full-time roles in BS15, BS1 & BS7
• Mixture of pre-booked and same-day (morning call) work
• Schools matched to your preferred locations where possible
