If you’re the kind of person who brings patience, humour, and steady support to every classroom, you’ll fit right in.

What the role looks like

You’ll be working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, helping them feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Think sensory activities, small steps, big wins, and a team who genuinely cheer each other on.

Your day might include:

  • Helping pupils follow routines and access learning

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff

  • Bringing positivity, structure, and consistency

  • Supporting emotional regulation and communication

  • Experience in SEND, whether in a school, care, youth work, or similar

  • A calm, encouraging approach

  • A genuine interest in supporting pupils with complex needs

  • Strong communication and that “steady in a storm” energy SEN schools love

If you’re Thrive trained, amazing. If not, we can get you signed up for free Thrive training, which makes a huge difference in specialist settings.
