A large, high-performing secondary school in Ponteland, serving pupils from across Northumberland and the outskirts of Newcastle, is seeking a confident Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team immediately.

The Role

 

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

 

  • Work with pupils who need additional support with focus, engagement and behaviour

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, ADHD and behavioural challenges

  • Reinforce the school’s behaviour systems and expectations

  • Help de-escalate situations calmly and effectively

  • Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams

 

You will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, helping them stay in lessons and succeed.
