What the role involves as an Art Teacher
You’ll teach Art across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that encourage creative risk-taking, skill development and personal expression. The school has supportive leadership, good facilities and a department that values experimentation and inclusion.
Your responsibilities as an Art Teacher
- Delivering practical and theory-based Art lessons
- Supporting pupils with a range of artistic abilities
- Preparing resources for drawing, painting, sculpture or digital media
- Encouraging creativity while building technique and confidence
- Celebrating progress and showcasing student work
You’ll thrive in this role as an Art Teacher if you
- Hold QTS in Art or a related discipline
- Enjoy working with a variety of materials and styles
- Bring enthusiasm and structure to practical lessons
- Have strong behaviour management with a positive, encouraging tone
