SEN Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield
We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chesterfield. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist students with learning, communication, and personal development
- Support teachers in delivering inclusive classroom activities
- Help manage behaviour and promote confidence and independence
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to support pupil progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
- A caring, patient, and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
- Relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualifications are advantageous
