SEN Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chesterfield. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist students with learning, communication, and personal development
  • Support teachers in delivering inclusive classroom activities
  • Help manage behaviour and promote confidence and independence
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to support pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
  • A caring, patient, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualifications are advantageous
