Behaviour & Inclusion Support Assistant – Full Time
Location: Billingham / Peterlee area
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £85 to £100 per day (PAYE)
Do you stay cool under pressure and know how to build positive relationships quickly? This specialist setting is looking for someone with a naturally warm, confident presence to support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils during lessons, breaks, and transitions

Helping them regulate emotions and feel safe

Using de-escalation strategies and consistent boundaries

Working with the school’s pastoral and behaviour team

Encouraging independence and confidence
You’ll be great for this role if:

You’ve supported challenging behaviour before

You understand trauma-informed practice

You can stay calm when things feel unpredictable

You genuinely enjoy helping pupils feel understood
