We’re working with schools in Newham that are looking for an SEN Teacher who can confidently support learners with a wide range of needs. Autism, SEMH, complex needs, communication differences… whatever your specialism, your experience will be valued here.
This is a setting that prioritises consistency, teamwork and pupil wellbeing. You’ll have the freedom to teach in a way that works, supported by a staff team who understands the realities of SEND.
What you’ll be doing
- Teaching and supporting pupils with diverse special educational needs
- Planning targeted, personalised lessons that build progress in small steps
- Working closely with support staff, therapists and parents to keep learning consistent
- Creating a calm, structured classroom where pupils feel safe and able to engage
- Bringing resilience, positivity and clear communication to your day-to-day work
What we’re looking for
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working within SEND or an alternative provision
- A calm, adaptable teaching style and strong behaviour management
- Someone who can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
