Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Day-to-Day Cover)

Pay: £90 to £95 per day
Contract: Flexible day cover, immediate start

What the role looks like

Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Helping young people regulate, reset, and engage positively

Using trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies

Working closely with teachers, mentors, and behaviour teams

Bringing consistency, empathy, and a reassuring presence

Experience in SEMH, PRUs, youth work, mentoring, or behaviour support

Strong communication skills and a warm, grounded manner
