The Role:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring pupils remain on task
  • Creating a calm, constructive and positive classroom environment
  • Managing behaviour confidently and fairly in line with school policies
  • De-escalating situations appropriately and always following safeguarding procedures
  • Collecting completed work at the end of lessons and passing it on to the relevant staff
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures

A Little Bit About You:

  • Experience working with children or young people in any setting
  • Calm, patient and confident when leading a classroom
  • Comfortable managing behaviour and engaging pupils in their learning
  • Clear communicator who can follow lesson plans and school expectations
  • Adaptable, reliable and keen to build classroom experience

      Passport

  •       Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter
  •       A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  •       Two years of references, including childcare or education where applicable
  •       An OSPC if you have lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years
