We’re working with a supportive SEN secondary school in the Newton Aycliffe area, looking for a 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant. Think lovely staff, a genuinely welcoming team, and a school that’s big on support, not pressure.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting a student 1:1 with social, emotional and mental health needs

Building trust, routines, and confidence

Helping them stay engaged in lessons (and celebrating the small wins along the way)

Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
Why this role?
