Protocol Education is seeking caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive primary schools across Durham. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils with Special Educational Needs achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.
- Support positive behaviour using consistent strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
- A compassionate, resilient and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
