Autism Teaching Assistant (ASC TA) – Full Time
Location: Peterlee Area
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £85 to £100 per day (PAYE)

The role includes:

1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism

Helping pupils navigate sensory needs and transitions

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SEND team

Using visuals, TEACCH strategies, and supportive communication

Creating a steady, safe environment where pupils can shine
What you’ll need:

Experience with autism or complex needs (school, care or home settings welcome)

A calm, steady approach when things get tricky

Good communication skills and loads of empathy

Willingness to learn new SEND strategies
